Voldřich, Michal ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Němec, Zbyněk (referee) ; Bílková, Zuzana (referee)
The presented dissertation focuses on the experience of parents of children with problem and disordered behavior. We build on research focused on parenting children with ADHD, with the intention of broadening our view to include the social conflict dimension in children's behavior. In the theoretical part, we examine how the categories of problem and disordered behavior are captured in medical and special pedagogical classifications. Furthermore, we elaborate on research focusing on parental experience. The research itself is based on qualitative methodology, on repeated interviews with the parents of children and their analysis through the methods of grounded theory. We are particularly interested in how the socially conflictual and medicalized dimension of problem behavior enters into experience. Epilepsy, as is a chronic neurological disease, affects not only everyday activities after the diagnosis, but also has its impact on the women's life regarding employment or family. By adapting the narrative analysis this thesis categorizes the influential factors of this concept into primary and secondary ones. Moreover, it explores in detail the issue of obtaining a driving license, which is one of the specifics of the people with epilepsy in Czechia. Also, it defines the respondents' attitudes toward the societal perception of epilepsy and fears that accompany it. In addition to that, the matter of motherhood and pregnancy for women with epilepsy is explored as one of the influential factors of the quality of life. Lastly, this thesis argues that the qualitative approach is essential for the initial examination of the selected sample for future investigations regarding the concept of the quality of life in epilepsy.

Papcunová, Kristína ; Lupač, Petr (advisor) ; Dudová, Radka (referee)
The main objective of the present thesis is an effort to understand better how Czech women construct their views on feminism and what factors of Czech distance from feminism are, which is clearly visible in the post-1989 era. The thesis starts with the description of feminism, its development and inner differentiation. Then the author focuses on development and current situation in the Czech Republic, which is specific for its historically contingent connotation. The following section presents the analytical results of the qualitative research. By applying the technique of semi-structured interviews, the author brings up the questions of how Czech women perceive and understand feminism and how do they interpret the current situation of women. One of the main objectives of the empirical part was also to find out whether it is possible to apply Aronson's typology of feminism of the situation in the Czech Republic. Due to the specificity of the Czech environment, the author comes to the conclusion that there can be identified four different approaches to feminism. Within this framework, the analysis of interviews led to identification of several important factors that affect the construction of feminist consciousness among Czech women.
